Brand Identity, Packaging, and Illustrations

Clay Cup Tea company is focused on simple, high-quality, organic, ingredients made from sustainable and eco-friendly packaging and fair-trade operations.  The company was inspired by the Chaiwalas in Mumbai who sell their masala chai in simple clay cups made by local entrepreneurs.  After the tea is consumed, the cup is tossed back onto the ground where it gets soaked back into the ecosystem.  Clay Cup is built on that same principal of simplicity and earthiness.

Description:

The brand identity, includes hand-drawn illustrations arranged playfully on a clean background to reflect Clay Cup’s connection with health, wellness, and sustainability.  The color palette I developed is rich and earthy, like the spices used to make the tea.  The sans serif typography is inspired by the bold/ dynamic flavors of the tea. The color palette and type are targeted to consumers who shop at high-end markets, and embrace whole, organic, clean eating.
